What do you mean dogs are the smartest animals? These pictures sure show something they are not very good at.
No, dogs do not seem to fully understand or appreciate the concept of personal space. They will literally rub their snouts, and in some cases their actual butts, onto their friends and fellows without regard for their comfort level. And the worst part is, it’s not that they don’t care, it is that they literally do not seem to understand it.
I feel bad for these owners and other pets who did not know what they signed up for. In fact, while some of them are visibly amused, you can also see some poor things in despair as they can’t get away from these maybe way too comfortable dogs. They say you can’t teach a dog new tricks, but maybe teach them to stay off the literal bodies of their loved ones is not asking for too much?
