On what would have been Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ 41st birthday, Ellen DeGeneres pays tribute to him.
The former daytime television presenter paid homage to Boss, who worked as the DJ and producer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in a moving Instagram post.
“TWitch, happy birthday. “I love you and will always love you,” DeGeneres, 65, captioned a photo of the two beaming on a private jet.
Earlier in the day, Allison Holker Boss, a So You Think You Can Dance fan favorite, shared her own tribute on Instagram, remembering her late husband’s memory by visiting his gravestone with their three children.
“We honor Stephen tWitch Laurel Boss, our lovely, kind, kind, and loving Stephen tWitch Laurel Boss. In her caption, she said, “Forever on our hearts and minds carrying us, guiding us, and lifting us.”
“We feel your presence every day and will forever be grateful for the beautiful times we shared together,” she continued alongside photos of her children spending time at his tombstone. “We feel your arms wrapping around us and holding us up on this day. Happy birthday my love @sir_twitch_alot a day we will always celebrate the gift you were and still are to this world. We love you!”
Allison, 35, met the dancer, DJ, and producer in 2010 when they performed as all-stars on season 7 of SYTYCD. They married in 2013 in Paso Robles, California, and have one son, Maddox, and two girls, Zaia and Weslie (Allison’s kid from a prior relationship).
Allison expressed after Stephen’s suicide last December that Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. Above all, he treasured family, friends, and community, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was their family’s rock, the finest husband and father, and an example to his admirers. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive influence will continue to be felt, she said. She is confident that there will never be a day when they will not remember him. They need privacy at this tough time for her and their three kids.
She wrote to him, Stephen, they love him, they miss him, and she will always save the last dance for him. DeGeneres paid tribute to Stephen shortly after his passing by uploading a clip from the last season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which contained a montage of her fondest moments with the late actor. Stephen instructing her to dance and becoming the show’s DJ are two highlights.
“It’s simply different when he’s not here… “He’s my friend, my sidekick, because we have this connection,” she said in the video. “Just looking at him makes me laugh.” He makes me chuckle all the time.”
“I love you, tWitch, and you know it.” “We tell each other that every day after the show, when we say goodbye, we both say love you,” she concluded. “He says, ‘I love you so much,’ and I say, ‘Love you.'” And so he’s never going to be out of my life. He’s always a part of my life.”
