And you thought pet grooming was just a luxury. This was the condition the nonprofit Trio Animal Foundation found Ellen, a victim of an extended period of neglect. Not only was the poor thing infested with gnats and flies, the fur had started getting so heavy that it was starting to rip off of the skin by its roots.
TAF got the help of Kelli from the Mutt Hutt to groom Ellen back to her actual hidden beauty. All that fur was washed, cut and trimmed, and even as shaving that fur down proved painful, Ellen never once got angry, perhaps due to some awareness that big changes were coming for her. While some people like to talk about inner beauty, we need to recognize that appearance matters inside and out, and yeah, that applies to animals too.
