Did Struggling Sylvester Stallone Sell His Dog For $40.

Sylvester Stallone is regarded as one of the world’s wealthiest actors. However, there was a time in his life when he was forced to sell his beloved pet dog, Butkus, due to financial constraints. He was traumatized by the event and had to sell Butkus for only $40.

When the movie “Rocky” came out in 1976 and made him famous, things turned around for him. He was paid $35,000 for his role and story, which changed his life and profession.

Sylvester Stallone’s first act with his newfound fortune was to reconcile with his beloved dog, Butkus. He spent time looking for him and was eventually successful in finding him. Despite the cost, he paid $15,000 to get Butkus back, which was more than a third of the money he received for his performance in “Rocky.” It simply goes to show how much he adored his pet and how much he valued Butkus.

Butkus also appeared in other films before dying in 1981.
