This calf almost did not make it across the river. Thankfully, its family was there to help him finish the trek.
This calf happened to be an elephant calf, imbuing this story with some irony. Yes, the small calf who barely made it past the river, will eventually grow to tower over the river, as one of its largest customers.
It was other towering elephants that kept him from getting pushed by the water’s strong waves, and egged him to cross on over to the other side. Isn’t it amazing how the all came together and rescued the the baby elephant?
