According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, a 55-year-old male is facing aggravated stalking charges after subjecting a 6-year-old Florida girl to months of catcalls, including a threat to make her “into a lady.” The department released video of Mark Greenburg denying the claims as he was being detained at his Deltona home on Saturday, Sept. 3. Deltona is located around 30 miles northeast of Orlando. The girl’s dad and other neighbors are among those accused, according to the sheriff’s office, who described a protracted habit of his abusive actions against her and others.
The arrest came after a sequence of accusations from almost a dozen witnesses who observed his conduct, including at least 11 incidents recorded to the sheriff’s office in the last eight months, officials said.
According to those complaints, Greenburg harassed neighbors, yelled at them and their kids with a megaphone, and drove past houses while filming youngsters on his phone. Deputies tried to question Greenburg at his house on Friday, Sept. 2, however he declined to open the door, according to the sheriff’s office.
Greenburg was summoned after the girl’s dad complained that he had walked to the end of his driveway and made many odd statements to his 6-year-old daughter while she was playing outdoors, according to officials.
According to the dad, the catcalls had become gradually harsher and more regular in recent weeks, making the 6-year-old afraid to go outdoors.
