A tragic collision happened on an Oklahoma turnpike in March 2018. Linda Danette Smith Irie, her two young grandkids, and their cousin were on their way to pick out a lamb for an Easter picture session when they were rear-ended by another vehicle. Linda was murdered with her grandkids, Brooklynn Newville, 9, and her 5-year-old brother Jace.
The young driver who caused the collision was believed to have been texting at the time of the accident.
Isabella Anthony, Brooklynn and Jace’s cousin, was the solitary survivor. After the incident, she and her family worked to raise awareness about the hazards of inattentive driving.
Meanwhile, Brooklynn and Jace’s parents, Shaneé and Brian, were mourning their children’s deaths. Brooklynn, often known as Brookie, was characterized as a bright and outgoing youngster who enjoyed dressing up in tiaras and princess gowns.
It wasn’t long until Shaneé and Brian discovered something they’d only heard about in Brooklynn’s bedroom—and now they had it in their hands. That was something that, thanks to Brookie’s own handwriting, assisted the family in healing. See the video below to learn about the discovery that altered everything.
“I cannot imagine the pain this sweet family is going through right now,” a loved one wrote on their GoFundMe page. “Please pray for them as they grieve the loss of three very special people. If you feel led, please give to help this family make arrangements that no parent ever wants to make, and to help with other needs in the coming weeks, as they are mostly self-employed.”
Please visit the Newville family’s GoFundMe page if you would like to assist them in any way.
