It’s a natural instinct of a mother to protect her child just like in this story below.
After catching him peering into the teen’s bedroom window, the mother of a 15-year-old girl confronts a suspect fleeing the scene. And it was all caught on camera by a police dashcam!
Phyllis Pena of Texas understands that part of her role as a mother is to keep her children safe. She explained that her children are her life and no matter what she would protect them. So when she came back from the grocery and saw a young man prowling outside her 15-year-old daughter’s bedroom, she acted quickly.
The woman’s kid, thankfully, was not there when the 19-year-old peeper lurked outside. Phyllis quickly dialled 911, but the suspect fled as the cops arrived. But the passionately protective mother was not about to let him escape.
The mother confronts the culprit escaping from the cops in an extraordinary display of bravery. Her 15-year-old daughter supported her and assisted her in holding down the suspect till the authorities arrived.
It may have seemed insane to become engaged. Phyllis Pena’s “mother bear” came out when she realised her kid was in danger. And she didn’t want this peeping Tom to get away with it! She explained that her initial reaction was to make sure the culprit didn’t go any farther. The cops were awestruck by the mother who tackled the culprit and praised her for her bravery.
Lake Jackson Police Sgt. Roy Welch said, “It’s not very often that we have somebody that actually steps in, puts themself in harm’s way to assist in apprehending somebody.”
The Police Chief intends to meet with Phyllis Pena to personally congratulate her. In the meantime, the alleged peeper is facing a slew of accusations. And the community owes a debt of gratitude to the mother who attacked the culprit before he could harm anybody else.
