A horrifying CCTV camera showed the moment an unidentified individual carried a bloodied hockey bag down a New York City sidewalk Friday night, packed with the slaughtered remains of a Queens woman who was murdered after telling her son she was going out for the night.
Orsolya Gaal, 51, allegedly told her youngest son she was going out to attend a play, but instead hooked up with another guy, according to NYPD sources.
According to the reports, the man eventually murdered Gaal in her home’s basement, placed her in the bag, and discarded of her corpse. He purportedly then gained access to her phone and wrote a scary message to her husband, saying, ‘Your entire family is next.’
Gaal was spotted by neighbour John Blankson Friday evening simply wandering about the yard with her dog. Blankson and his family have not seen Gaal since. He also stated everybody in his house was awake late on Friday night.
According to a source, Gaal was out with friends on Friday night during her dying hours. An NYPD officer claimed they had film from ‘various cameras’ showing somebody moving the suitcase holding her corpse along the sidewalk approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.
One of the photographs, which surfaced on Sunday, showed a guy in a hoodie lugging a heavy bag along the sidewalk near Gaal’s Forest Hills house. One of those photographs arose Sunday, showing a man in a hoodie moving a huge pack down the walkway close to Gaal’s home in Forest Hills. ‘She knew the individuals she was out with,’ according to a person close to Gaal. ‘We’re speaking with them. We also need to find out whether she met any odd strangers along the way.’
Investigators are now looking into the terrible discovery, which was made by two different local people along a famous walking path on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills, on a part of street that runs through a park.
A blood trail from the blood-soaked bag led cops to Gaal’s house, which was situated in a gated enclave on Juno Street, about a half mile from where her corpse was discovered.
According to police sources, her husband and one of her sons are deemed ‘persons of interest’ in her demise. Gaal had no identification when she was discovered, police said, adding that authorities who followed the path performed an ’emergency entry’ into the lady’s house in an effort to get to the bottom of the macabre find.
When authorities entered the house, they discovered Gaal’s 13-year-old son alone on the upper level, according to investigators. When authorities interrogated him, the boy stated that he lived in the house with his mom and that his dad and elder brother were away travelling. The adolescent went on to say that he had no idea where his mother was.
According to a neighbour, the younger boy was seen being led away in handcuffs. Once interviewing the juvenile, authorities decided he had no knowledge of the incident, and the boy was ultimately freed, according to police, after it was established the corpse in the bag was, in fact, Gaal’s.
Howard Klein, Gaal’s husband, was apparently going out of state with the couple’s eldest son, 17, according to Twitter messages from the man published earlier this week. Klein and his son were informed of Gaal’s demise and were returning to New York. Police earlier stated that authorities were examining the possibility that a male relative murdered Gaal while focusing on the family’s house.
Gaal attended Budapest Business School College of International Management and Business, as per her Facebook page, and she most likely has family in Hungary. Gaal’s images show the lady with the family’s dog and document visits to Hungary, Croatia, China, and Guatemala. The mother is also shown conversing in Hungarian in the posts. She donated to the Susan G. Komen benefit for breast cancer research in February, which was organised by her younger son.
The boy revealed in a YouTube video uploaded last month that he launched the campaign as a bar mitzvah project to memorialise his paternal grandmother, who passed away due cancer in 2010. Meanwhile, her husband’s social media sites indicate that he is from Long Island and that he is a merchant of lithium, a metal used to power devices. His LinkedIn page describes him as the creator of RK Equity, where he presently works as a partner. His company is described as a ‘New York-based boutique capital markets advising firm.’
The inquiry, which is still ongoing, has resulted in no arrests. According to authorities, the ghastly sight was discovered by a neighbourhood resident. When the Good Samaritan noticed the blood, he contacted 911 about 8:11 a.m. According to another local, Glenn Van Nostrand, who was supposedly the second to come to uncover the corpse, police arrived at the scene after a second call was placed.
Van Nostrand, 51, who had been strolling his two hunting dogs through the park, told the New York Post that he observed a black Bauer hockey duffel bag while strolling down the bustling road to his neighbouring house. Van Nostrand told the press that he didn’t think much of the find at first, but strange behaviour from his two hound dogs prompted him to check inside. When Van Nostrand unzipped the bag, he saw the mutilated body, which he said was bundled in the fetal position.
Cops who showed up on the scene took the remains to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Saturday morning for an autopsy to ascertain the reason of death. The event is the latest in a shocking rise of crimes that has afflicted the city since the outbreak began, a wrongdoing wave that NYPD Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell attributes to a ‘belief among lawbreakers that there are no outcomes, even for significant wrongdoing.’
