Rumer Willis recounted a touching memory with her father, Bruce Willis.
On Tuesday, the 33-year-old posted another picture from her family archives on Instagram, making it the sixth photo she’s shared this month commemorating her and her sisters’ childhood with their father.
In the photo, a young Rumer wears a white t-shirt and wraps her arms around her father Bruce’s neck, resting her chin on the top of his shaved head. Rumer is holding what looks to be her father’s headgear.
The photo’s family resemblance is startling, particularly Rumer and Bruce’s similar straight-faced faces. Rumer’s shot was taken in Hailey, Idaho, as per the location she specified.
Rumer is Bruce and Demi Moore’s eldest daughter, born in 1988. Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28, are the daughters of the former marriage, who have stayed close co-parents despite their peaceful divorce.
Bruce and his wife Emma Heming Willis have two additional daughters, Mabel Ray, 10, and Evelyn Penn, 7.
Rumer uploaded an old picture of herself, Scout, and Tallulah snuggling together in their father’s lap outside, all with their tongues out earlier this month. Rumer labeled the photo “Girl Dad,” and Heming Willis agreed, saying in the comments, “One of the greatest ones I know.”
Bruce’s family has gathered behind him when he was diagnosed with aphasia and has withdrawn from acting to concentrate on his health. On March 30, they announced the news on Instagram.
Rumer wrote in a note signed by Heming-Willis, Moore, and all five of Bruce’s children that as a family, they wanted to convey that their beloved Bruce has just been diagnosed with aphasia, which is hurting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this, and after careful contemplation, Bruce is leaving the career that has meant so much to him. Although this is a “difficult” moment for the family, they wanted to be transparent about Bruce’s diagnosis and experience with the people who they know care profoundly for him.
The post concluded, ‘we are dealing with this as a strong family unit, and we wanted to include his fans since we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce often says, ‘Live it up,’ and that is exactly what we want to do.’
