“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” lead Jason Mamoa’s “lack of chemistry” with Amber Heard forced her role in the next picture to be cut, according to Heard’s representative on Friday.
On Friday, Heard’s agent, Jessica Kovacevic, practically affirmed in the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial, stating she feels the unfavorable light cast on Heard as a result of her continuing feud with Depp had a significant influence on her role.
Depp’s ex-wife was initially cast in the 2017 film “Justice League,” and then as Mera in the “Aquaman” trilogy the following year. Heard’s representative affirmed that the actor was paid $2 million for the sequel, which had already wrapped production and is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2023.
Kovacevic resumed her testimony, alleging that Warner Bros. cut Heard’s position due to “a lack of connection between her and Jason.” She went on to explain that Heard found out about the decreased part when she was reading the screenplay.
When questioned about Heard’s career, her representative stated that in her experience, anything like that changes your professional path. Amber was quite well welcomed in the film at the time; everyone was pleased with her, and there were no problems. Then to have a total drop following that, and then to have it correlate with frequent tweets and hate directed towards her, Kovacevic doesn’t have proof, but it’s the only logical conclusion she can take.”
Heard also lost a position with Amazon that was in the works, according to Kovacevic. She also stated that, to her understanding, no “performance problems were made” against Heard in the first “Aquaman” film.
During her evidence, Heard said that after Depp termed her claims of domestic violence a “big lie,” “communication ended” between the actress and Warner Bros. She battled hard to stay in the film. They refused to include her in the film “Heard gave testimony.
She stated that she was given a screenplay and then given fresh versions of the script that removed action parts, scenes depicting her character and another character (without providing any spoilers) two individuals fighting with one another, and they simply cut a lot out of her role. They simply eliminated a large number of them.
In Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, Depp is suing Heard for $50 million for portraying herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 op-ed published in the Washington Post.
He said that the anonymous article wrecked his reputation and job. Heard is counter suing for $100 million, claiming Depp and his lawyer of defaming her by referring to her claims as a “false.”
