As per her relatives, a fourth-grader murdered in the Robb Elementary School shooting was shot while dialing 911.
Amerie Jo Garza, 10, had spent the morning celebrating her honor roll appointment, according to her family, but less than two hours later, alleged shooter Salvador Ramos assaulted their school. The child’s grandmother, Berlinda Irene Arreola, told the outlet that Ramos warned Garza and the other children, “You’re going to die.” Garza started dialing 911, but Ramos shot her before she could finish.
According to Arreola, he shot her instead of snatching it and shattering it or removing it from her. She was seated next to her best buddy. Her blood was all over her dearest pal. She died a hero attempting to find aid for herself and her friends, she continued.
During the incident, Garza’s dad, Angel Garza, was ministering to a girl who was covered in blood. When the girl told him that her best friend had been shot by the shooter, Angel asked her for the name of her closest friend, and she gave him the name of his child. He stated she was attempting to contact the police. And when he asked the little girl her name, she responded Amerie.
As previously reported, at least 19 pupils and two adults were murdered in this gun massacre, which is regarded the deadliest since the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in 2012.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deceased, all of whom were under the age of 11, were slaughtered inside a single classroom. According to reports, police are still investigating the matter and attempting to identify all of the deceased.
The suspect, who is 18 years old, has been described as a self-harming loner who was tormented due to his dress. After turning 18 last week, he saved nearly $5,000 to purchase two AR-15 guns and 300 rounds of ammo. Officials were aware of the gunman’s frequent battles with his drug-addicted mom.
According to the New York Post, Ramos began blogging about his intentions “roughly 30 minutes prior to arriving at the school.” Gov. Greg Abbott stated his first tweet was, “I’m going to shoot my grandma,” followed by, “I shot my grandmother.” He was apparently battling with his grandmother, his legal guardian, about his failure to graduate from Uvalde High School. She is sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The gunshot also killed Alexandria “Lexi” Aniyah Rubio, the daughter of Uvalde Sheriff Deputy Felix Rubio. The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District opened a bank account on Wednesday to collect funds for the victims of the Robb Elementary School massacre. The Robb Elementary Memorial Fund has been created at First State Bank of Uvalde to assist families impacted by the disaster.
