Amber Heard is not giving up on proving her innocence against ex-husband Johnny Depp.
A 20-minute preview clip on Peacock indicates that Heard offered the NBC program multiple records from a doctor that “indicated years, years of real-time descriptions of what was going on,” she claimed. The shocking interview with Savannah Guthrie airs Friday on “Dateline.”
Heard explained in the video that there’s a notebook full of years of records dating back to 2011 from the start of her relationship that were collected by her doctor, who she was disclosing the abuse to.
According to “Dateline,” the records include one incident in 2012 in which Depp reportedly “struck her, pushed her against a wall, and threatened to kill her.”
Per the documentary, Depp reportedly “torn her nightgown, tossed her on the bed” eight months later, and in 2013, he supposedly “slammed her against a wall and threatened to kill her.”
Due to “hearsay,” Heard’s defence team was unable to introduce the documents into proof during the widely publicised case.
Nevertheless, in reaction to Heard’s NBC interview, a Depp spokeswoman told “Dateline” that the actor merely wants to “move ahead” after winning his lawsuit.
“It’s sad that, while Johnny is attempting to go on with his life, the defendant and her team are re-litigating topics that have already been resolved by the Court and a judgement that was clearly and decisively pronounced by the jury in Johnny’s favour,” they said in a statement.
Depp, 59, sued Heard, 36, for defamation following the publishing of an op-ed in the Washington Post in 2018 in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse. A jury determined that the editorial was about the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star on June 1 and awarded him $10 million in compensation and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages in her countersuit.
The newest headline from Heard and Guthrie’s talk is her doctor’s alleged proof. In preview footage seen on the “Today Show” on Wednesday, Heard informed the host that she “definitely” still loves her accused person Depp.
The “Aquaman” star Depp remarked that she loved him with all her heart. She did all she could to save a profoundly damaged relationship, but she couldn’t. She has no ill will or nasty sentiments for him.
She stated in the preview on Tuesday that she “stands by every word” she made in her losing defamation trial testimony.
