Christina Applegate, an Emmy winner, stated that she had multiple sclerosis and that it has been a “weird experience.”
Applegate revealed it in a Twitter post.
“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a****** blocks it,” the Christina Applegate actor wrote.

The “Dead to Me” actor added: “As one of my friends that has MS said “We wake up and take the indicated action.’ And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you XO.”

In 2003, Applegate received a Primetime Emmy nomination for outstanding guest appearance in a comedy series for her work on “Friends.” In 2004, she was nominated in the same category for the same program.
Applegate was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for “Samantha Who?” in 2008 and 2009. She was nominated for lead actress again in 2019 and 2020 for “Dead to Me,” which was also nominated for best comedy series.
Christina Applegate received Golden Globe nominations for best actress in a television series – musical or comedy for her roles in “Dead to Me,” “Samantha Who?” and “Jesse.”
Applegate rose to prominence as a young actor with her appearance in the sitcom “Marrieda with Children.” She is most known for her roles in movies such as “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead,” “The Big Hit,” “The Sweetest Thing,” and “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
Applegate has also overcome breast cancer. In 2008, she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent a bilateral mastectomy.
