Maria Shriver seemed to be wearing no makeup when she was seen taking a stroll in Los Angeles this week.
The 66-year-old, a Kennedy family scion who was formerly wedded to Arnold Schwarzenegger, smiled as she strolled along the street.
Her present appearance elicited a tremendous reaction from followers, who voiced their surprise on social media.
‘What happened to Maria Shriver’s face? ‘Horrifying,’ one Twitter user screamed.
Another expressed surprise that ‘someone had to edit that photo.’
Maria, whose maternal uncle was John F. Kennedy, married Arnold Schwarzenegger in Hyannis, Massachusetts, in 1986.
Caroline, John F. Kennedy’s daughter, served as Maria’s maid of honor, and Maria returned the favor the following year as Caroline’s matron of honor. Arnie and Maria had four children throughout their marriage: Katherine, 32, Christina, 31, Patrick, 28, and Christopher, 24.
Maria divorced Arnold in 2011 when it was discovered that he had fathered a boy named Joseph by the family’s maid Mildred Baena.
The divorce was not formalized until last year, despite the fact that Maria and Arnold both dated other individuals in the intervening time.
Maria allegedly had an affair with political commentator Matthew Dowd, who worked as a strategist for Arnie during his reelection bid for California governor.
However, Arnold has been connected for years with a blonde physical therapist named Heather Milligan, who is 27 years his younger.
Arnold and Maria have maintained a cordial relationship, gathering with their kids on special occasions such as Arnie’s birthday.
