Adam Sandler is one of the biggest comic talents of our time, beginning on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and rising to become one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors.
Few people are aware that he attributes his achievement to his supporting wife, who, while beginning her career as an actor, now frequently works behind the scenes.
The 55-year-old actor has been married to his wife Jackie Sandler since 2003, having met her on the set of Big Daddy in 1999.
It was Jackie’s second film appearance after transferring from modeling. She had previously starred in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, when she portrayed the minor character of Sally. Jackie converted to Adam’s Judaism and the two wedded in June 2003. Sandler’s bulldog Meatball served as ring bearer and best man during his wedding to Jackie, who was 36 at the time.
Friends, relatives, and high-profile celebrities, like Jack Nicholson and Rob Schneider, were present to the outdoor ceremony.
They have two kids, Sadie and Sunny, and when they’re not caring for their children, they help each other’s jobs.
Sandler frequently gushes about his Florida-born wife, stating how supportive she is, especially during love scenes, something he’s frequently discussed with the actress Drew Barrymore, with whom he’s worked in four films.
When questioned about the countless love scenes he and Drew Barrymore had shared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2014, Sandler was eager to stress out the support he got from his wife during such situations.

Some of his films have also included his kids, with his oldest daughter Sadie making her film debut at the age of two. In the 2008 film Bedtime Stories, she co-starred with her father. Since then, the 15-year-old has starred in Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, Jack and Jill, and Blended alongside her father.
Sunny Sandler, Adam Sandler’s youngest daughter, has had minor parts in his films. She appeared in the films That’s My Boy and Jack and Jill. The now-13-year-old also provided voices for other characters, including those in the Hotel Transylvania franchise.
Sandler has progressed into more serious parts, including Punch-Drunk Love, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, and Reign Over Me (2007), a drama about a man who loses his whole family after the September 11th attacks.
Sandler praises his wife for pushing him out of his comfort bubble, telling Ellen in 2019 that when he was handed the script to portray a gambling addict in crime thriller Uncut Gems, it was his wife who urged him to accept it.
He read it, and liked the film, but was afraid to do it. He then requested Jackie to read it.
They do this together, he and Jackie, they talk about what he is going to do, and she gives him the confidence and courage to accomplish it, he explained.
The two surely provide each other with the encouragement they require in a world that can sometimes feel lonely at the top. Sandler also claims that he understands when his wife is sad and encourages them to talk about it.
One understands when one’s wife or husband isn’t the happiest and it’s nice to speak it out. Just one hour together gets them moving again, he said.
Sandler has some extremely sensible and basic marital advise. They ‘re just hanging around, he told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Making sure you don’t run away for too long, hanging out together, talking the truth, and that sort of thing is excellent.
I appreciate that these two have a relationship that isn’t always in the limelight, but it’s evident from their path together that they have an unbreakable bond.
Their marriage teaches us that communication and truthfulness are essential in every relationship, regardless of who you are.
