A former Ohio high school teacher’s assistant and softball coach has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a sexual encounter she allegedly asked the student not to disclose to officials.
Ashley Rison, 31, a New Miami High School staffer, faces five years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual violence and gross sexual imposition on Wednesday in response to charges she had sex with a 17-year-old student.
According to Rison’s indictment, she participated in sexual activity with the juvenile eight times in April 2021.
They do have recordings between Ms. Rison and the kid where Ms. Rison makes repeated damning remarks in pleading, begging the youngster not to disclose her to the officials, Butler County, Ohio Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan previously stated in court.
On May 3, 2021, the suspected offenses were filed to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, and Rison resigned her work at the school on the same day.
According to prosecutors, Rison is not being punished with “forced rape,” and it is suspected that she engaged in illegal behavior with only one victim.
Rison joined the district in August 2015 as a softball and basketball coach for the girls. Rison will be punished on November 16 and may be asked to register as a sex offender.
