Dogs have extraordinary intuition. They can often sense things that their human masters cannot, which can be the difference between life and death.
That was the case, when a wise Husky was the only one to spot a deserted baby in the park and assist in getting him to rescue.
Terry Walsh, 64, was walking his pet Husky, Hel, in Birmingham’s The Mounds.
The two walked by a rolled-up blanket left on the ground beside the bushes. Terry assumed it was just something somebody had thrown away. Hel, on the other hand, dashed over to inspect.
She walked off to the blanket, resting next to it, and began very gently pushing it with her nose, Terry stated.
To his surprise, he heard the sound of a baby sobbing coming from the abandoned blanket.
Terry understood the infant boy had been left alone, exposed to the elements, and had only been discovered thanks to his dog.
He believed Hel’s gentle nudging and the heat from the Husky’s body roused the baby up, he explained.
He was relieved that the dog had discovered him first, realizing that rodents or foxes could have been a serious threat to the infant.
Police later stated that the child was just “hours old.”
While the infant is unharmed, authorities have failed to identify the boy’s mom because of Hel.
He was transported to the hospital and given the name “George” because he was discovered near St. George’s Day, yet nobody knows where he came from. The West Midlands Police Department has issued an urgent appeal to the boy’s mom.

We wish that everything turns out for this unfortunate lost baby. But we’re relieved that he’s now safe and well, due to the fast thinking of a wise Husky.
