A red Corvette opted to learn road etiquette the hard way in a now-viral video shot in Tacoma, Washington. Few things are more irritating than drivers who display no regard for the other drivers with whom they share the road. So it’s easy to see why the driver of a Dodge pickup truck grew more irritated when all he desired was to move into the correct lane of traffic.
Rather than being permitted onto the highway exit lane, he was greeted by an idiotic sports car driver. Rather than allow the pickup to pass, the guy rolled down the window of his red Corvette and gave the truck driver the middle finger. Furious up, the man in the Dodge saw a chance to exact his road rage vengeance, and lucky for us, another driver’s dashboard-mounted camera captured it all.
When the driver of the red Corvette refused to allow the truck into his lane and pulled down the window to give the guy in the Dodge the finger, he left himself wide open—literally. Once the Dodge driver positioned his car just perfectly and revved his engine in revenge, spewing a tailpipe full of smoke straight into the Corvette’s open window and into its driver’s face, he realized what a foolish decision he had made.
The guy taking the footage in the vehicle behind the Dodge can be heard chuckling as the smoke dissipates after approximately five seconds. Once the dense, black cloud of smoke dispersed, the individual who was filming the video said that the daring maneuver produced the intended impact. The driver of the Corvette evidently learnt his lesson and allowed the truck in.
He was traveling through traffic near Seattle when he spotted a Corvette refusing to allow a Dodge to join the lane, and then the Dodge stopped beside him. The driver commented when he submitted the video online. When the Corvette driver rolled down his window to flip him off, the Dodge owner showered him with so much smoke that one couldn’t see the person in the vehicle. He did eventually allow the vehicle over.
Stopping to let somebody in or out of traffic takes just a few seconds. Unfortunately, far too many individuals are losing their decency, patience, and manners. As a consequence, it’s not unusual that other drivers sometimes respond to selfishness by attempting to educate unpleasant road ragers on how to drive like a good human being. So did this Dodge driver overreact?
Its dense, black cloud of exhaust no doubt left a lingering aroma that will remind this driver to regard his fellow cars on the road. Other drivers who act in a similarly nasty manner should have the chance to see this video and learn from this guy’s mistake.
The red Corvette could have simply let him over in the time it took to roll down the window and flip off the other man. He opted to make things more difficult for everybody concerned. Do everyone, including yourself, a favor the next time you’re on the road and don’t be a jerk.
