According to the Westmoreland District Attorney’s Office, an 11-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Youngwood, Pennsylvania, was discovered on Monday after authorities utilized geolocation on her iPad to locate her.
According to the DA’s office, Keith Lilliock, 43, was arrested and charged with enticing a kid into a motor vehicle and interfering with the care of minors.
On Sunday, the kid told officers she was riding her bike to Pittsburgh to see her sister when she stopped at a gas station to rest. After leaving her bike at the petrol station, the victim went to a neighbouring Dollar General, where Lilliock reportedly approached her and offered to transport her anywhere she wanted to go after he closed the shop, according to officials.
The District Attorney’s Office said that video security from the Dollar General showed Lilliock conversing with the youngster for more than 20 minutes. The victim’s smell was discovered by a bloodhound squad at the petrol station.
Lilliock is accused of driving the youngster to his house in South Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and then leaving her in the vehicle for five minutes while he went inside.
According to the news statement, the victim informed detectives Lilliock massaged her leg and touched her stomach region beneath her shirt before she requested him to drive her to a friend’s residence in Latrobe.
The key to the youngster’s rescue, according to authorities, was an iPad, which enabled law enforcement to geolocate the toddler in a residence near Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
On Monday afternoon, police found the kid from the residence in Latrobe and arrested Lilliock.
Authorities claimed Lilliock told them he offered the child a ride but denied touching her.
He is being imprisoned at the Westmoreland County Jail without bail.
