A retired school bus driver from Ohio, who gained attention after a video of her shouting at a group of unruly children went viral, is overwhelmed by the support she has received.
A fellow Ohio resident started a GoFundMe page that has raised over $116,000 for her retirement. The driver, Jackie Miller, said that she was pleased to bring light to the bigger problem of children’s behavior on buses.
Miller said that a group of students on her bus would often act out, and she hit her breaking point. Critics have commented that Miller should not have used profanities on children, which Miller agreed with, but said she would not take back her words.
Despite the criticism, Miller says she is grateful for the support and believes it restores her faith in humanity.
