Everyone can surely agree that Disney is a wonderful, magical place where so many dreams come true. It offers so much fun that memories will last a lifetime. And it’s full of so many great characters. And one of those magical characters, as we all can remember, is Snow White.
One day, Lauren Bergner and her young son, Brody, were visiting Disney World in Florida. It was a beautiful day as they were walking up to a fountain to meet the very pretty Snow White.
And, all of a sudden, 6-year-old Brody, who has autism, started haing a meltdown. The big crowd of people started to scare him. But soon Brody and his mom got to meet with Snow White, and the young woman playing the iconic character knew exactly what to do.
She spoke with him softly. Then she hugged and kissed him. She had him lay his head on her lap, and then she held his hand and took a walk with him to get away from the crowd that had gathered.
Says mom Lauren: “She held his hand, danced with him, took him over to a bench and sat with him. She went above and beyond!! She took so much time with him. She was a pure angel! She was magical and my family is forever thankful and touched!”
Lauren was amazed that this strange woman she had never met before showed so much genuine compassion toward her son. Soon after, Lauren contacted Disney to tell them about what this character had done for her son, and she posted about it on Facebook.
Says Lauren: “I am thankful these moments were captured. My heart is full. Please make sure she is recognized! We will never forget this moment.”
And even though Lauren never learned the identity of the young woman, she believes this Snow White truly IS a princess.
