Jamario Howard, of Lincoln, Alabama, went to a Brad’s Restaurant in Oxford with his friends, JaMychol Baker and Tae Knight. They had given their dinner orders to the waitress and were waiting on their food to arrive at their table when Jamario spotted an elderly woman at a nearby table eating all alone. And that really bothered him; he hated that she was eating alone.
So after thinking about it for just a minute, he got up from the table and walked over to the woman. He then asked if he could sit with her. She said yes, and they started having a conversation. Soon into the conversation, the woman mentioned her husband had died, and tomorrow would have been their 60th anniversary.
Jamario felt bad, and he offered his condolences to her. He then asked the woman if she could join him and his friends at their table, and she seemed very happy to do that.
Jamario posted his story and a photo of the group on Facebook, saying “The point in this is always be kind and be nice to people. You never know what they are going through. This woman changed my outlook on life and how I look at other people. Everyone has a story so do not judge! And people I can’t stress this enough. GO SEE YOUR MOM AND YOUR GRANDPARENTS. They miss you!!”
So tonight JaMychol Baker Tae Knight and myself went out to eat at this place called Brads in Oxford, and after us…
