Man With Empty Stroller Shows Why He Won’t Stop Caring For His Old Dog.

As sad as it is, elderly people often will find that others don’t seem to care about them… because they’re old. But that should never be, and if you know someone who is elderly, always be kind and try to help them. It means more than you’ll ever know.

When you see a man pushing a baby stroller through the park, you naturally think “Baby!!” But Troy Griffin doesn’t have a baby, per se. He’s not pushing his own flesh and blood through the park on a nice afternoon. Instead, he’s taking his elderly Sheltie dog for a stroll to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

The dog, named Max, suffers from severe arthritis, something that unfortunately often happens to many creatures as they age. While at the park, Troy takes Max out of the stroller and puts him on the grass. He then gives him a drink of water out of a cup he brought with him.

Troy and his wife, Edie, have had their 16-year-old dog since he was just 3 weeks old. That’s 112 years old in dog years. He’s a very important part of their family, and they want to make sure they take care of him as best they can. Aside from the crippling arthritis, Max is also blind in one eye. Troy and Edie baby him a lot, with his own corner in their penthouse apartment full of toys and fun dog things.

Says Edie: “I don’t think you should just turn your back on someone just because they’re elderly. I think they deserve our love and our care and our attention. And there is so much we can learn from them even as they get older.”

And the best thing Troy and Edie can do now is to make sure he feels loved by them for his remaining time.
