Scott White, of Sylacauga, Alabama, was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in November of 2015. He’s been fighting it hard ever since.
Amazingly, even with all the chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he still goes to work every day at a construction firm so he can continue providing for his family. A GoFundMe page has been set up so he can take the time off of work to have the tumor removed.
Last year, his granddaughter, Kinsey, asked Scott for a very special favor… if he would escort her to her senior prom. Scott took her up on that offer right away. Kinsey wore a white dress with a flowing lace skirt, while Scott looked mighty dapper in a tan sport coat and bootlace cowboy tie, and, of course, a cowboy hat.
Kinsey held her grandfather tight during a dance to show him how much she cared. And for Scott, being there with his beautiful granddaughter was one of the highlights of his life.
