The little child named Valentina Garnetti, who was born with a cardiac abnormality and spent most of her life in the hospital, has passed away.
Francesca, Valentina’s mother stated on Facebook that she never had to write a post this hard. Her life will never be the same. Valentina passed away this morning while being held by her mother.
This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to make. My life will never be the same. Valentina took her last breath this…

In April 2021, Valentina became the center of attention as she received her first-ever discharge from CS Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan. She was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome at birth, and from May 2019 to March 2021, she spent every day in the hospital.
It is frequently described as half-hearted.
Valentina endured many procedures over the period of almost 700 days, including four open heart surgeries, and she spent 14 days on life support.
Francesca, a single mom of three kids, stated that she had her second open heart surgery early at 3 and a half months old and she was very, very unwell after that one.
Holidays and significant anniversaries were long-time hospital traditions.
It was just the two of us spending Christmas alone since, particularly with COVID-19, no one could visit the hospital, Francesca added.
Valentina, however, finally got to leave the hospital on March 24, 2021. She was at last able to live her life outside of a hospital.
She’s not only here; she’s prospering and happy here. She enjoys her life despite taking a lot of medicine, using a feeding tube, and needing oxygen, according to her mother.
Since that time, she has continued to live her life with family and friends while also visiting the hospital sometimes.
Valentina underwent several operations, and in addition to these, she also experienced strokes, seizures, and allergic reactions.
Francesca sent a fervent prayer request on July 16. Valentina was not breathing anymore and had no pulse.
A GoFundMe page created to aid the family claims that Valentina stopped breathing while in her grandmother’s arms at approximately 5:45 in the morning.
Francesca started performing CPR as soon as she realized her kid wasn’t breathing and kept doing so until EMS came. After being taken to the hospital, Valentina had an additional 90 minutes of life-saving procedures but was unable to be revived.
Francesca posted on Facebook that her daughter battled so hard for so long and her body was just exhausted.
The happiest heart failure patient I’ve ever seen.

The fact that her child was now “healthy in paradise with a heart that is no longer damaged and she can run and walk and talk and eat and do all of the things that she enjoyed seeing others do,” as Francesca put it, gave her some solace.
We feel very sorry for this family. They have experienced a lot in a brief period.
Please join us in praying for them at this time of great difficulty.
Rest in peace little angel!
