According to the message, the bear is the only item the young girl has left from her mother. She is requesting that anybody who has seen it return it to the Goodwill in Tazewell, Tennessee.

Build-A-Bear teddy bears, some of which can record noises, are frequently used to remember loved ones.

A local news station in San Antonio stated that in 2021, nurses at a Texas hospital gave the three children of a woman who died with COVID-19 Build-A-Bears containing a recording of their mother’s heartbeat, which was caught on an EKG monitor before she died.
