Amber Heard Says She ‘Tried’ to Defend Herself from Johnny Depp: ‘Nothing I Did Made Him Stop Hitting Me’

Amber Heard said that she was required to protect herself against Johnny Depp in physical bouts in the course of their association. Taking the stand on Thursday, Amber clarified why she chosen to start retorting physically to Depp when he was supposedly offensive toward her. Amber said she attempted other ways to drawn-out the fights but outbreaks sustained irrespective of what she did.

She continued that in these bouts, she would try to stand up for herself. She tried to constantly get back up, which would occasionally made it worse and constantly appeared to incite him. She further said that she would yell at him and would call him ugly names. She added that it was terrible and they both got into that array. She felt so annoyed that this was happening to her and it just felt so prejudiced.

She added that nothing she did made him stop hitting her. Amber said that she attempted for over a year or maybe two of just not retorting physically and verbally instead just watching at him.

She further said that she tried to halt and tried going to a different place. She added that she would try to intimidate that if he hit her again that she would call the cops and they were called several times. She said that she even threatened to leave him but nothing worked out. She continued that by this point in their association, they were saying terrible things and shouting at each other and regrettably when Johnny would start hitting her, he would just win. She added that she does not know how else to define it.

Previously in the hearing, Depp said that he never struck Amber and claimed that he have never struck a woman in his life. This is disputing Amber’s testament which also comprised occasions when Depp allegedly struck her, jolted her and sexually attacked her.

Depp is litigating amber for denouncement over an op-ed she penned in December 2018 for The Washington Post about enduring domestic ferocity without naming him in her article.

Depp and Amber came together in 2011 while making the movie The Rum Diary and later married in 2015. They parted ways May 2016 when Amber wanted a domestic ferocity preventive order against him, blaming him of mistreating her. Depp rejected the claims and they settled their separation in August 2016 out of court of law.

Depp has affirmed that his objective is the reality as he strives for to clear his name in the hearing, which is being on-air through several channels.

In audial footages played by Depp’s legal side so far in this hearing, Amber confessed to having started a physical bout and she debated with him that she didn’t punch him but was thrashing him. Depp’s security guard Travis McGivern also affirmed that he saw her punching Depp in 2015. Their previous marriage analyst labelled common exploitation between them.

Depp lost his extremely broadcasted U.K. defamation claim case back in November 2020 for calling him a wife-beater. The court of law sustained the claims as being noticeably factual and Amber testified to back up the allegations.
