Amber Heard Tells Court She Had To Hide Bruises On ‘Late Late Show With James Corden’

Amber Heard testified in court last week that she had to conceal injuries with makeup before appearing on The Late Late Show With James Corden in 2015.

On Thursday, the Aquaman actress, 36, proceeded to disclose the supposed violence she endured during her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean star (May 5).
Depp is seeking $50 million in damages after Heard asserted in an op-ed in the Washington Post in 2018 that she was a survivor of domestic violence.

While Heard did not disclose his name, his attorneys believe that it was about him and had a negative impact on his profession. Heard is suing for $100 million in retaliation.

The actress alleges that on December 15, 2015, the 58-year-old actor headbutted her straight in the nose, while screaming he detest her, before pulling her into an adjacent apartment and strangling her with a pillow. Amber claimed that she thought this is how she is going to die. She felt he’s going to murder her  and won’t even realize it.The following night, the Pineapple Express star was scheduled to appear on The Late Late Show to promote her new picture, The Danish Girl.

She shared with the court that she was scared that she wouldn’t be able to disguise the bruises and swelling. She  iced it all night and looked in the mirror the next day to see if she could get away with it, which meant disguising it so she could make an appearance.

She took a chance and believed she could pull it off, so she had her hair and makeup crew arrive.  They worked around the bruises by covering it with thick makeup, stronger makeup than regular bruise hiding cosmetics.

Since her lip was “still bleeding and swollen,” the Rum Diary actress said she had to wear “very thick matte red lipstick” to disguise her “busted lip,” and when asked what occurred, she replied it was an accident.

The court is on recess until May 16, and Heard will resume her evidence when it reconvenes.
