Johnny Depp’s brief appearance at the VMAs was welcomed by some, yet this sparked wrath from Amber Heard’s sister, who went on MTV.
Whitney Henriquez shared an image of MTV’s award show emblem, however she added a foreboding letter at the top: a capital D. So Whitney’s website now says DVMA, which refers to domestic violence.
She says, “@MTV YOU’RE DISGUSTING AND CLEARLY DESPERATE! I REALLY HOPE THAT NONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THIS CALL HAVE DAUGHTERS… #DVMAS #ISTANDWITHAMBERHEARD.”
There’s also a photo of Amber placed on Whitney’s mockup, indicating that the Heards are plainly upset with the network’s choice to showcase JD from the start.
As you may remember, as soon as the broadcast started, Johnny’s face was digitally shown within the Moonman outfit that was hovering above the stage. He delivered a stupid little spiel about how he’s out of work… and open for just about any job right now.
It was Johnny’s first television performance in a long time, and it was well received by Depp fans, who hailed it as merely another notch in his Hollywood return. Of course, some people still feel he abused Amber… and they’re horrified.
