Annie Wersching, well known for her roles on Timeless and 24, died after a three-year battle with cancer.
Using social media Wersching’s death was confirmed by friends and family on Saturday, years after a cancer diagnosis in the summer of 2020.
Despite the devastating prognosis, Wersching continued to audition for roles in the famous series Star Trek: Picard and The Rookie.
Tributes have since poured in for the actress, who was only 45 years old.
Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, was the first to share the news on social media, revealing that the actress had recently lost her battle with the crippling disease.
‘There is a massive hole in my family’s soul today,’ wrote Full, an actor who had three school-aged children with the actress.
‘However, she did leave us the means to fill it,’ he continued. ‘She discovered wonder in the most mundane of circumstances.’
The widower went on to praise his wife’s legacy and her upbeat demeanor.
‘She didn’t need music to dance,’ wrote Full, 53. ‘She taught us that you shouldn’t wait for adventure to find you.” Go look for it. It’s all over the place “And we will find it.’
