Big Dog Attacks California Boy, 4 – His Babysitter, 15, Defends Him Instead of Running Away

Whether it’s a simple hello, a warm smile, or our very presence in somebody’s life, random acts of kindness never go unappreciated. Being able to share somebody else’s problems is a gift in and of itself, and its importance should never be underestimated.

Elders frequently strive to inculcate the best qualities in their children, wanting to see them develop into responsible and sympathetic people. However, a child’s excellent behavior can leave adults speechless and very proud. In today’s story, something similar occurred.

Carson Neal resides in Fresno, California, with his parents. Cortney Neal, his dad, described him as a regular little kid who enjoys eating ice cream and receiving surprises.

Carson, like many other kids his age, looks forward to having fun and spending time outside with his friends and family. The four-year-old was out and about on August 2, 2022, with his 15-year-old babysitter and her seven-year-old sibling.

The three was walking near Carson’s house, having a great time together, when their stroll was cut short.

Cortney claimed that a dog in their area had gotten free and charged at his son. Carson went on to say that the dog was large. The dog was large and black, and he dragged her along.

Cortney stated that his kid froze in his place and was unable to flee or move due to his fear of dogs. Carson suffered significant injuries to his head, face, shoulder, back, and arm as a result of the dog’s attack.

According to the Neal family, their kid has had two operations and is recovering in the intensive care unit. Cortney described his son as “very strong and fearless,” adding that he hadn’t seen a tear fall from his cheek. They’ve probably sobbed more than the son has.

Thankfully, the little boy’s parents are crying gratitude for one individual who opted to stay with their kid rather than flee. Carson’s babysitter, according to the Neals, boldly seized the dog by its collar while shouting for aid throughout the incident.

Courtney stated that if it hadn’t been for the brave adolescent, things may have ended out very differently. While thanking the child for saving his son’s life, he said that s he heroically attempted to fend the dog off. She never abandoned him. They couldn’t have asked for more than she did.

Little Carson is still in the hospital receiving treatment, and his family and friends are hoping for a rapid and complete recovery. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist the Neal family in fulfilling their son’s medical needs.

As of August 8, $3,360 of the $5,000 target had been reached, and donations for the little child continue to flood in. As per Carson’s parents, the owner ultimately arrived and removed the dog off the child.

Carson’s parents were reportedly alleged to have received an apology from the dog’s owner for the terrifying occurrence.

Several Facebook users have sent supportive words and well wishes for Carson.

We express our deepest prayers, love, and good wishes to Carson’s family, and we hope that he heals quickly. Something comparable to Carson’s babysitter saving his life occurred in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a brother-sister combo.

Bridger, a six-year-old boy at the time, reacted promptly when he witnessed a dog coming at his newborn sister in July 2020. Instead of fleeing, the brave brother stayed between his sister and the dog and was bitten on the head and face.

Bridger swiftly took his little sister’s hand and raced away with her to a secure location. He stayed alongside her the entire time, like a responsible and caring elder brother, and soothed her in the best way he could.

When Bridger’s family and friends learned about the event, they were ecstatic and complimented him for becoming a real-life superhero. When they questioned why he didn’t hesitate to endanger his own life for the sake of his brother, the child replied that he figured if somebody had to die, it should be him.

While Bridger was recovering from his injuries, his aunt shared the tale on social media, tagging several real-life superheroes to herald the addition of another hero to their ranks.

Several stars praised Bridger’s bravery, including Chris Evans (Captain America), Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel).

What Carson’s babysitter did for him and how Bridger protected his sister’s life demonstrate that superheroes exist in all shapes and sizes.
