Britney Spears has disclosed that she is expecting her third child. On Monday morning, the 40-year-old pop artist revealed the news in a long Instagram post, writing that she got a pregnancy test and she is having a baby.
However, the Baby One More Time singer perplexed fans when she revealed in her message that she was ‘a little food pregnant’ and had done a pregnancy test after discovering she had gained weight while on vacation.
It will be the singer’s first kid with fiancé Sam Asghari, although Britney has two sons from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15.
Britney referred to Sam, 28, as her “husband” in the tweet, fueling speculation that the couple had secretly married.
Sam additionally affirmed the pregnancy news in a post on Monday, composing that marriage and children are a natural part of a great partnership loaded with love and respect.
Fatherhood is something he always looked forward to and won’t take lightly. This is the most important job he’lll ever have.

Britney also mentioned perinatal depression throughout her first two pregnancies in her announcement article. Perinatal distress is a catch-all phrase for side effects of sadness, anxiety, and stress that women may suffer from conception until one year after giving birth.
‘Britney added, “it’s difficult since I suffered perinatal depression while I was pregnant. I’I have to say, it’s just horrifying… Women didn’t discuss it back then… Some people thought it was harmful if a woman complained like that while carrying a baby, but now ladies talk about it all the time… Thank God, we don’t have to keep that anguish a closely guarded secret.’,
The mother-of-two was spotted swimming naked with her aide Vicky last week, after rolling around on the beach in a bikini. Britney previously shared a photo of herself swimming topless in the water while on holiday.
The pregnancy announcement comes after it was reported that the Toxic diva was compelled to use birth control while under her 13-year-long conservatorship, which was discharged in November. Britney openly spoke out against her conservatorship at a court hearing in June of last year, saying she is ‘traumatised’ by the controlling system she has been set under.
The Toxic hitmaker blamed her father and conservatorship team for forbidding her from marrying or producing kids with her partner, Sam, 28. Britney stated that her conservators forced her to obtain an IUD as a method of birth control, thus she is now unable to have kids, despite her desire to ‘get married and have a kid’ with Sam.
‘I want to be able to marry and have a child,’ she continued. I have an IUD inside of me to prevent pregnancy, but [my team] does not want me to have any more children.’
The actress condemned her condition as ‘abusive,’ and even demanded that her dad and everyone engaged in her conservatorship be ‘imprisoned’.
Following Britney’s far off appearance in court, Jamie Spears’ legitimate group put out an announcement demanding he ‘cherishes his little girl without question’. ‘He is sorry to watch his daughter suffer and in such anguish,’ they claimed. ‘Mr. Spears adores his daughter.’
The singer has made no secret of her desire to have additional kids since then. Britney captioned a topless beach shot from Sam Asghari’s birthday vacation, ‘Planning on having babies in Polynesia!!!!!!’
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline divorced in July 2007. Kevin was rumoured to get $20,000 a month in child support for his and Britney’s two boys last year.
