A college graduation is a momentous occasion for any parent. It is the day your child will legally join the world as an adult, and it is a proud time for most parents.
Even superstars like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas had mixed emotions about their eldest kid graduating together.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are now nearly household names. The power couple married in November 2000 and have been together ever since.
We were in Providence, Rhode Island for a celebration during Memorial Day weekend. The occasion was the graduation of their son Dylan Douglas from Brown University.
Catherine, like many delighted parents, shared an exquisite photo of herself cuddling her son, who is dressed in his graduation gown and hat. “Graduation congratulations to my boy, my pride, my joy, Dylan. I am inexplicably proud of you and I love you beyond words ” the picture stated.
Isn’t that wonderful?
But she wasn’t the only one who was pleased with Dylan’s accomplishments. His father, Hollywood legend Michael Douglas, also marked the moment with a photo.
He poses for the camera with his arm over his son’s back in the photograph. “One proud parent!” he captioned the photo. Dylan, congratulations! “Excellent work!”
Both parents appear to be overjoyed with their son’s accomplishment. Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a heartfelt video of herself seeing her kid off to college four years ago. How quickly time passes! He graduated from the same high school four years later.
Aside from Dylan, the pair is also the parents of Carys Douglas, who is 19 years old.
