Cher has become an icon via her music and cinematic careers. She has amassed a massive fan following and has had a successful Hollywood career. Her life, though, has not always been sunny.
At 76, she is still dealing with her worst heartbreak: the loss of someone close to her heart. Cher’s mom, an actress and singer, died recently, and the idea of it still saddens her.
Cher announced the death of her mom on Twitter on December 11, 2022. She posted a short message, saying- “Mom is gone.”

Before she revealed the death of her beloved mother, Georgia Holt, she stated on Twitter that she had been MIA due to her mother’s illness. She stated that her mom had just left the hospital after recuperating from pneumonia on December 9, 2022.

Cher stated in 2020 that she was being careful near her mom during the epidemic. She said that her sister, brother-in-law, mom, and helper all lived together but kept to themselves and wore masks.
Cher, like her mom, is a terrific performer. She received the gene from her mom, who was also a prominent Hollywood actress. The couple had an unusually tight relationship and drew attention wherever they went.
Holt was a sassy dresser who instilled in her daughter a passion for fashion and appearance. According to one source- everything came to a halt as they entered the room. She was also a fantastic dresser.
Their connection was featured in a documentary made as a present for Cher’s mother in 2013. “To Mom, Love Cher” featured never-before-heard songs from Holt as well as insights about her life.
While the documentary was well-received, Holt has appeared on the screens before. She has appeared in several films, including “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” “I Love Lucy,” and “Jane Wyman Presents the Fireside Theatre.”
As soon as Cher announced the news on Twitter, fans and celebrities started paying respect to Holt. Many people reacted to Cher’s tweet after her mom died on Sunday.
Hillary Clinton expressed her “heartfelt condolences” on Cher’s loss. She then stated that she was sending love to Cher. Maureen McCormick, another celebrity who commented on the post, said Cher and her mom shared a great relationship.

Andy Cohen was another celebrity who expressed his feelings for Cher by simply placing six red hearts beneath her message. Many celebs commented on the post, expressing their sympathy for Cher and wishing her love, but fans also filled the comments section.

One fan posted a sweet picture of a kitten hugging a duck and said she was “terribly sorry” for the singer’s loss. In the comments area of Cher’s post, she expressed her sympathy with an emoji of a bunch of flowers.

Another admirer went a step farther, creating a film of memories devoted to Holt.
The minute-and-a-half film included photographs of Holt during her career in Hollywood, set to Cher’s interpretation of “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.” Other admirers praised the video and expressed how much Holt would be missed.
