Christina Applegate lately spoke up about her earliest physical signs of multiple sclerosis. Applegate said that she first noticed a difference in her physique while filming the Netflix dark comedy Dead To Me’s series premiere.
In an interview on November 1, the singer revealed that she felt off-balance while filming a dance performance for the show. Though she recognized her tennis game was not as powerful as it used to be, she suspected it was due to a lack of practice, the 50-year-old continued.
She wished she had paid attention, Applegate said. How did she know? The Emmy winner subsequently started feeling numbness and tingling in her limbs, which are symptoms of a neurological disorder that primarily impairs communication between the brain and the body.
According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, this causes numbness, tingling, mood changes, discomfort, paralysis, and other symptoms. Things deteriorated in the summer of 2021, and the last season of Dead To Me was postponed so that the actor could start her much-needed therapy.
There was a sense of, ‘OK, let’s get her some medicine so she can get better,’ Applegate remembered. There is nothing greater. But it was beneficial to her. She was required to grieve the loss of her life, the loss of that part of her. As a result, she required that time.
The actress was totally honest about her current circumstances, acknowledging that it irritates her. Acceptance? No. This is something she will never accept. She is furious, she said. Applegate went on to say that filming the last season of Netflix’s dark comedy was the most difficult thing she’d ever done. She praises her co-star and close friend Linda Cardellini for her encouragement on the set of the show. Cardellini was her advocate, her fighter, her voice, Applegate claimed, noting, it was like having a mama bear.
The actress has set her eyes on discovering a treatment for multiple sclerosis. She revealed her MS diagnosis in August 2021, when she tweeted that hello there, friends. She was diagnosed with MS a few months ago. It’s been an odd voyage. But she’s had a lot of help from folks she knows who also have this illness.
Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it.

Applegate said in a follow-up tweet, as one of her MS friends put it, they wake up and take the recommended action. That’s exactly what she does. So now she requests privacy. As she works her way through this. Thank you very much xo.
As one of my friends that has MS said “ we wake up and take the indicated action”. And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo

Applegate, well known for her role as Kelly Bundy on the FOX comedy Married… with Children, will be 50 on Thanksgiving in 2021. At the moment, she wrote that Yes. Today is her 50th birthday. And she has multiple sclerosis. It’s been a difficult year. Today, she is sending one all her love. Many people are in pain today, and she is thinking about them. May all find the courage to raise their heads. Hers is now resting on her pillow. But she is making an effort.
Here’s an interesting tidbit about the actress: The initial concept for the Friends episode “The One with Rachel’s Other Sister” was to bring back Reese Witherspoon as Jill Green. However, because she was unavailable at the time, Christina Applegate was cast in the role of Amy Green.
