How do you commemorate such a rare wedding anniversary?
You go to your favorite restaurant, Chick-fil-A, if you’re the Abdons!
Fred and Betty Abdon of Pennsylvania recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary, and instead of throwing a party or dining out, the couple went to their favorite local fast food restaurant.
It only seemed natural for the couple to celebrate the happy occasion at Chick-fil-A, a restaurant they frequented.
Almost every Saturday, Fred and Betty travel to the Cranberry Township drive-thru, order their favorite dinner, locate a parking place, and then enjoy the food and each other’s company.
The couple was greeted with a limousine ride from their senior facility to the restaurant for their anniversary, but that’s not all.
When they arrived, the shocks continued.
The Abdons were welcomed inside the restaurant, where they were entertained by a singing quartet while enjoying a free meal that included Betty’s favourite Chick-fil-A Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

So, how have they survived for almost seven decades? By going on dates on a regular basis! And we’re sure at least a few of those dates included Chick-fil-A!
