Traveling with children is everything but simple. Every step of the travel process provides a new obstacle, from figuring out what to put in their suitcases to the mid-airport tantrums they throw when you’re rushing to get them on the aircraft on time. But a father wasn’t kidding around as he flew through Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia with his girls on New Year’s Day.
A video of a father pulling his daughter through the airport by the hood of her jacket has gone viral, eliciting varied opinions.
While another youngster, likely her older sister, comes along behind them with their luggage, he drags her through the airport to baggage claim. The video, which was published with the description “Seems like this dad has hit his limit,” has received over 6.5 million views.

For many parents, the footage was all too familiar.
After all, most parents have experienced that moment at an airport when their children refuse to comply.
Others speculated that the youngster was not in any danger and that she just wished her father to slide her through the airport for fun.
To be fair, most kids have begged for weirder things. My youngster enjoys dipping cantaloupe in ketchup.
The majority of individuals felt the video was humorous.
But, not all agreed. Several others even labeled the video as child abuse.
Some were concerned about the germs on the airport floor.
Other individuals also said that the father plainly lacked control over his kids and should have spanked them instead.
Considering the American Academy of Pediatrics opposes spanking, coat dragging seems to be the best alternative here.
The father was not identified and has not come forward to discuss the footage, so it’s unclear why he was dragging his kid. Nonetheless, from the footage, it seems like the small child is quite calm and enjoying her tumble down the airport. That may not be every parent’s favorite mode of transportation for their children, but odds are this father and his girls reached where they intended to go safely. At the end of the day, parents are just doing what they must in order to live. There will be no judgment here.
