If you’ve ever had to make such a call, you’ll understand precisely what I mean. You’ll understand the sudden rush of dread, the barrage of inquiries, and, most importantly, the prayers murmured in the hope that your friend or family is safe.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson disclosed that he was one part of a horrific phone conversation earlier this week, after his mom, Ata Johnson, was involved in a major car collision about 3 a.m. on Thursday.
Johnson’s mother, 74, was driving a red Cadillac Escalade when it collided with another car, according to his Instagram post. The renowned actor and former WWE wrestler shared a photo of his mom’s vehicle, which had significant damage to the front passenger side.
Johnson captioned the image, thanking God that “she’s alright” and saying that angels of mercy looked over his mom.
She’ll survive and be examined, he continued. This lady has survived lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a head-on accident with a drunk motorist, and a suicide attempt. She is a survivor in ways that bring angels and miracles to life.
Johnson did not elaborate on the details of the incident, however he did add that his mom would be assessed further in the future.
He also took the opportunity to thank first responders for their actions, both in assisting his mom and in doing their best to keep him calm and updated.
In his last words, the Black Adam singer implored his millions of fans to cherish their parents.
The 50-year-old former professional wrestler has previously hailed his mom’s bravery and tenacity. He designated her as a “survivor” in celebration of her 72nd birthday in October 2020.
Johnson wrote that they walk along this unexpected route of life, and they never know what’s around the bend. And no one personifies that concept more than his mother. She is a survivor; therefore, she lives life to the fullest every day and is a beautiful light of love, joy, and compassion.
Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, a professional wrestler, died in 2020 at the age of 75.
Thank goodness this accident didn’t turn out worse. Life may be shockingly unexpected at times, which is why it’s always crucial to demonstrate love, empathy, and forgiveness whenever and wherever possible.
