Employee Has Had Enough After Annoying HR Lady Kept Pestering Her About Silly Things And Touching Her.

Source: Reddit

Workplaces HATE introverts. And I’m not even super introverted, but they have these expectations that are just not working for someone like me.

The HR lady makes me SUPER uncomfortable. She’ll get real close to me so our arms are touching, or she’ll poke me. And since my boss is out this week, she said, “You can come chat with me before you leave since Boss isn’t here!” And when I told her I only do that because he asked and I would otherwise just leave, she said, “Well I thought you were lonely without him here.”

Bi%#h, I am not lonely because my annoying boss isn’t here. Why the F would that make me lonely? I’m not here to make friends, I’m here because I need money. She’s used that “you seem lonely” excuse before to barge into my office and bother me and it’s just so ridiculous.

On top of that, we have mandatory “virtual coffee” with the CEO just to shoot the sh%t. And I really just don’t feel the need to do that. Just let me do my job in peace and then go home.

Can we have jobs where introverts can be comfortable please?

Edit: I’m a woman and so is HR. So I don’t think she wants the D lol but maybe the V

Edit 2: I want to add that it’s not just her touching me and making weird comments. She in general is a huge disturbance to the office. She turns the AC down to 66 because SHE is hot without asking the rest of us. She talks extremely loudly on the phone constantly with her door wide open, and she’s said and done things to my co-worker to the point where my co-worker also finds her unbearable. She literally made a comment about not coming into my office in case I was scratching my crotch, and she made inappropriate sexual innuendos about my co-worker when co-worker was pregnant.

In addition, there is other office mandatory fun besides the virtual coffee that she runs and she basically forces me to stay and eat whatever food she bought so I can “chat with people” instead of letting me take my actual break.

Overall, she does not behave the way an HR professional should, and it’s getting to the point where I am uncomfortable being around her. I have no problem with the other employees. I regularly chat with my co-worker or let her rant. I’ve never been rude to these people, so please stop assuming that I’m some cold-hearted B because I don’t like being touched and having someone try and get a reaction out of me with snide comments.

After the interaction with her yesterday, I decided to have a talk with my boss and let him know what’s going on. That will be Monday. In the meantime, I had two other job interviews for WFH and hybrid jobs today. I am leaving this job. I just needed to rant, as people do.
