Nothing breaks the heart of a society more than the death of a kid, particularly when that kid is snatched too soon by somebody who was meant to love them. That’s what occurred to this sad 2-year-old, whose death drew riders from around the country to offer their solidarity.
Ezekiel Harry was a lovely two-year-old child with loving eyes and a sparkling grin. He was residing in Houma, Louisiana, with his mom and her live-in lover when his mom reported him missing to local authorities.
A search started, however the small kid was discovered soon after, inside a duffel bag that had been put like rubbish into a garbage bin.
He deserved a lot better.
Maya Jones, Ezekiel’s mom, and her lover Jermaine Robinson were the obvious culprits. They were apprehended. They were charged with first-degree murder as well as manipulating proof.
Police discovered proof of 36-year-old Robinson and 28-year-old Jones strolling with a black duffel bag similar to the one Ezekiel was located in shortly after the toddler’s corpse was identified.
As per prison records, the two were swiftly captured and refused bail, which Robinson was no stranger to.
Robinson had been arrested several times before, including a 2009 conviction for second-degree cruelty to a child.
Ezekiel’s mom’s live-in partner has a long history of criminal accusations. From narcotics to armed robbery, cruelty to a minor, hit-and-run, and now, first-degree murder.
Robinson was also caught on camera with Jones’ other 3 kids before going door-to-door informing neighbours that Ezekiel, a 2-year-old boy, had been taken, which was obviously a lie.
Ezekiel’s family and neighbourhood gathered to commemorate his brief life when they were surprised by hundreds of bikers.
The rumbling of motorbikes rang through the streets of Houma as hundreds of motorcyclists accompanied the casket to the church to put Ezekiel to rest.
Many bikers came from all around the country to express their love.
“Our hearts go out to the family and we send our sympathies, and we’re just coming out to show our support for whatever the cause is, whatever the issue is, and to let them know, hey, we’re here to support you,” according to one rider.
There is a ripple of anguish around Ezekiel’s death, and the prosecution has called for the death sentence.
Joe Waitz, the Terrebonne District Attorney, expressed that what occurred to this tiny 2-year-old shakes the soul.
The horrific death of this wonderful kid has broken hearts across the country, and they can only pray that the sorrow caused by situations like this will lead to constructive change in the future.
