The funny thing about memory, is that it isn’t rigid or set in stone. Memory has an elasticity to it, that even computers copy from us people, because that elasticity has some usefulness.
When a situation like this comes up, don’t assume you know and remember everything. What you should remember is that everyone’s memory is different, and sometimes we need a nudge to be reminded.
