Lindsay Clancy’s husband, who is accused of strangling her three young children to death in Massachusetts, is pleading with people to forgive her.
“The shock and anguish are severe and persistent,” said Patrick Clancy in a statement released by GoFundMe organizer Matthew Glaser.
“I’d like to express my feelings regarding Lindsay. Lindsay has recently been depicted primarily by people who have never met her and have no idea who the actual Lindsay is. Our marriage was fantastic, and it grew stronger as her condition deteriorated. I took as much satisfaction in being her spouse as I did in being her parent, and I was always grateful to have her in my life “According to the statement.
Lindsay Clancy, 32, is being held by police in a Boston hospital, according to Boston 25 News. According to an arrest warrant, she has been charged with two charges of murder, three counts of strangling or suffocation, and three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
Lindsay was suspected of having postpartum depression based on her Facebook posts.
The children were discovered “unconscious with obvious evidence of trauma” in the Clancys’ Duxbury home after Patrick contacted 911 to report his wife’s attempted suicide on the evening of Jan. 24.
Their names were Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was said to be between seven and eight months old by media outlets.
The older children were taken to the hospital and proclaimed dead. The baby was rushed to a hospital in Boston for treatment, where he eventually died.
“I’d like to beg that each of you find it deep within yourself to forgive Lindsay, as I have. Lindsay was freely compassionate and caring to everyone, including me, our children, relatives, friends, and her patients. Her own spirit is filled with love. All I want for her right now is for her to find peace “Patrick penned a letter.
