In Kentucky, an ex daycare employee, 29, was arrested last week for reportedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child who visited the facility where he worked. According to records seen by Law&Crime, Ryan Dakota Sydnor was arrested on Monday and arrested with one count of first-degree sexual assault of a child less than 12 years old.
Sydnor worked at the Imaginations Abound Early Learning Center in Crestview Hills, which is situated in the 2600 block of Legends Way. In February 2022, the mom of the 4-year-old victim reportedly told Lakeside Park Police officers that one of the staff members at her daughter’s day care had handled her little daughter improperly. The employee, who was eventually named as Sydnor, was reportedly addressed by the victim, whose identity will not be made public, as “Mr. Ryan.”
According to the complaint, the 4-year-old victim reported that Sydnor “put his hand down her trousers and improperly groped her.”
The child allegedly claimed to cops the unlawful touching took place more than once in the daycare’s kitchen-play area during naps, according to the affidavit. That is apparently the only area of the building without surveillance equipment.
Sydnor reportedly refused ever making an improper contact on any of the day care youngsters during an interview with investigators. Additionally, he stated that the 4-year-old victim tried to kiss him multiple times, which made him feel “uncomfortable.” Sydnor claimed to have reported these instances to facility administration, but police allegedly did not discover any records of his allegations.
According to Sydnor, all he ever did was roll up his clothing so that children could paint on his tattoos and occasionally wrap his arms around them while they slept.
The victim’s mom told that her little girl has been going through a very tough time after the claimed sexual abuse.
The mom allegedly expressed that her child has nightmares now, she has accidents, and she’s always looking out the window for evil persons.
She said that she had previously attempted to report Sydnor’s alleged actions together with other parents.
The mom allegedly claimed, the signs were there, no one would listen to them. It is really upsetting and troubling that more children would have been safe if this issue had been thoroughly examined.
According to reports, Sydnor has been charged by several more families with engaging in similar improper behavior. An individual who complained to the Crestview Hills Police Department about Sydnor allegedly informed that her granddaughter had previously visited Imaginations Abound.
In a long statement, a representative for Imaginations Abound said that the center is “completely collaborating with officials on this situation.”
Sydnor has not worked at the daycare since January 2022, according to the institution.
On a $25,000 bail, Sydnor is now being detained at the Kenton County Detention Facility. On July 19, he is expected to make another court appearance.
First-degree sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 is a Class C felony in Kentucky, punishable by a maximum of 10 years in jail.
