Following Queen Elizabeth’s death, there have been several debates over her legacy. Jeff Bezos, on the other hand, isn’t having any of it.
The Amazon founder was not amused when a university professor wished Queen Elizabeth II a “excruciating” death.

In a tweet, Uju Anya, an associate professor of second language acquisition at Carnegie Mellon University, said, She heard the main ruler of a thieving raping murderous empire is ultimately dying. May her agony be severe.
This is someone supposedly working to make the world better? I don’t think so. Wow. https://t.co/2zoi6CdFMq

Her quote was retweeted by the millionaire wondering if this is someone supposedly working to make the world better. He doesn’t think so.
I can think of no one who better personified duty. My deepest condolences to all the Brits mourning her passing today. https://t.co/rCkagaglET

Twitter deleted the professor’s message because it violated the site’s policies. But the argument didn’t end there. He responded to his first reaction with another tweet about the Queen, saying she “personified duty.”
Professor Anya, on the other hand, is not backing down from her position. In answer to a question on Twitter regarding her original message, she stated that she is not wishing for her death. She’s already dead. She desires her an agonizingly horrible death, as she has caused millions of people.
If anybody wants her to exhibit anything other than contempt for the monarch who oversaw a government that promoted the genocide that massacred and dispossessed half her family and the repercussions of which those living now are still attempting to overcome, she concluded.
She clearly has strong feelings about the Queen and the legacy she leaves behind.
Carnegie Mellon university replied to the professor’s tweet by posting a reply on its account. They do not support the rude and reprehensible statements made by Uja Anya on her personal social media account, the letter stated, adding that although the institution still promotes “free speech,” Anya’s opinions “do not reflect” those of the university.
There are bound to be many discussions regarding monarchy and imperialism. However, two truths can coexist. The Queen was a bold and optimistic woman who will be mourned by many. She was dedicated to her people and loved her nation.
