The actress, well known for her role as Rachel Green on Friends, claimed she had a terrible period in her late 30s and early 40s while under public scrutiny.
She was trying to conceive, she explained.
She expressed that she wishes somebody had urged her to freeze her eggs sooner.
The baby-making path was a difficult road for her, she continued.
All the years and years of uncertainty. It was really difficult. She was doing IVF and ingesting Chinese teas, to mention a few things.
She did, however, express that she had “zero regrets.”
In her words, “I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour.’ You just don’t think about it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”
After two years of marriage, Aniston and actor Justin Theroux declared their divorce in 2018. She was formerly married to actor Brad Pitt.
She said that the media is unfair to women in the profession who do not have kids, and built a story that she was just selfish” and “just cared about my work.”
And God forbid a woman be successful without having a kid, she said.
And the reason her husband left her, why they broke up and terminated their marriage, was because she wouldn’t give him a child. It was total falsehood. She doesn’t have anything to hide at this point, she added of her marriage to Brad Pitt.
The actress, who now stars in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, went on to claim that she feels a little relief now about her age and finds it uplifting since there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe’. She doesn’t have to think about it anymore, she continued.
She’s spent so many years safeguarding her IVF narrative; She is so protective about these pieces since there’s so little that she gets to keep to herself, she explained.
Since the world generates false narratives, she might as well speak the truth. She feels like she is emerging from hibernation. She has nothing to conceal, Aniston said.
