Following Bruce Willis’s aphasia diagnosis, John Travolta paid respect to his friend and former co-star.
Travolta, 68, who co-starred with Willis, 67, in the cult classic Pulp Fiction and the romantic comedy-com Look Who’s Talking, lauded the ‘kind spirit’ in an Instagram post on Thursday.
John said on Instagram that ”Bruce and I became excellent friends when we shared two of our greatest hits successes, Pulp Fiction and Look Who’s Talking, Years later, he told mr, ‘John, I just want you to know that when anything wonderful occurs to you, it feels like it’s happening to me.’ That’s how kind of a person he is. ‘Bruce, I adore you.”
The post included two images of the actors together, one of them dressed in black and posing with Willis’ arm around John’s shoulder. Travolta and Willis recently reunited for the forthcoming film Paradise City, which was shot last May in Maui.
‘He was delighted to work with John Travolta, and you could tell the old Bruce Willis charisma was still there,’ said the film’s director Chuck Russell in an essay revealing how his cognitive impairment has damaged his cinematic career as of late.
The director stated that he truly brought his A game, and we ensured that he and John had a terrific experience filming together, Many celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone, Sarah Paulson, filmmaker Len Wiseman, and Jenna Dewan, have shown their support for Willis on Twitter in the aftermath of his diagnosis.
Willis’ terrible diagnosis was disclosed in a message shared to Instagram on Wednesday by his family, which included ex-wife Demi Moore and their three kids.
They said that to Bruce’s incredible fans, they wanted to convey that their darling Bruce has been facing some health concerns and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is hurting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this, and after careful contemplation, Bruce is leaving the career that has meant so much to him.
The statement added: This is a terribly difficult moment for the family, and they are so grateful for your continuous love, sympathy, and support,’ the statement read. They are dealing with this as a strong family unit, and they wanted to include his fans because we know how much he means to them and vice versa.
As Bruce often says, ‘Live it up,’ and together they aim to do exactly that,’ his wife, model Emma Heming Willis, his ex-wife Demi, and all of his children ended in a statement.
According to the National Aphasia Association, aphasia is a language impairment that affects speech production or comprehension as well as the capacity to read or write. The disorder is usually caused by brain damage, most frequently from a stroke, and is more common in older people.
Aphasia can also be caused by head trauma, brain tumours, or infections. Hoping the best for the wonderful actor Bruce Willis.
