Johnny Depp looked appreciative for the encouragement as he waved with the window down, and it was also the first time he saw the alpacas donated by a fan to ‘brighten’ his day.
Johnny Depp has had a busy week in court, but his supporters have been rooting for him throughout his ex-wife Amber Heard’s trial. On Thursday, April 28, the 58-year-old actor looked thankful for the support as he drove past in a massive black SUV with the window down after another day at court.
He waved to a roaring audience in Virginia, which featured two alpacas brought by a fan to “brighten” his day, as well as a woman costumed as a pirate from Pirates Of The Caribbean. Johnny looked to be wearing the same outfit as in court, as well as a pair of spectacles.

Fan Andrea Diaz has been positioning the two alpacas, named Teddy and Truffle, outside the courtroom for a few days. Dolce carries a banner that reads, ‘Justice for Johnnie’. She explained that she figured the alpacas would brighten his day. April 28 seemed, by all accounts, to be the principal day Johnny really saw the two creatures.
The 21 Jump Street star is suing ex Amber, 36, for defamation after an op-ed piece she wrote for The Washington Post claiming domestic violence. The Aquaman actress did not identify Depp in her piece, but as a result, he was dropped from the Fantastic Beasts franchise and another Pirates picture. Johnny is seeking $50 million in damages, but Amber has counterclaimed against him for defamation and nuisance.
According to a source, Johnny is “optimistic” he will be “justified” during the trial — and is really appreciative for the support. The source further added that not only did he have supporters outside the courtroom, but he also had friends and relatives who came and sat front row in court and testified in his favor. It means everything to Johnny, and he is hoping that he will be vindicated once and for all.
