The death of Queen Elizabeth last week marked the closure of an era, but it also marked the start of a new one.
There will undoubtedly be modifications in the British royal family, particularly for those individuals who have seen their positions reshuffled in the aftermath of Her Majesty’s death.
At the weekend, Prince Charles was crowned King Charles, and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, was named Queen Consort. However, there was movement farther down the line of succession, not least in the case of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
William, who has long been revered by the British public, is now the heir to the British throne, and considering his father’s age (Charles will turn 74 in November), it’s reasonable to believe he won’t have to wait nearly as long as Charles to acquire the title his grandmother held for so long.
As per accounts, Queen Elizabeth considered Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Princess of Wales as the monarchy’s future.
Joe Little, Managing Editor of Majesty Magazine, said earlier this year on the Royally Us podcast that the Queen considered William and Kate as a “safe pair of hands” to put the great weight of duty onto.
It’s speculation and theory, but you’d assume the Queen saw Kate as a safe pair of hands, she’s been a part of the Royal Family for ten years now, Joe added.
But she was very much on the scene for quite a few years prior to that because, as previously stated, Kate and William were living together, which was fairly revolutionary in and of itself.
Given all that has happened in the Royal Family in the last several years, including rumored feuds, the Duke of York’s death, and the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, he believes the Queen had enormous faith in Kate.
She granted her the Royal Family Order only a few years ago – it’s something that’s only given to female members of the Royal Family who have been around for quite some time and are seen to be of significant help to the Queen, Little continued. So, while not every female member of the Royal Family has it, Kate does.
He believed the Queen had enormous faith in the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as King William V and Queen Catherine in the future. It seemed reasonable to conclude the Queen saw this pair as the future of the British monarchy in the twenty-first century.
It should go without saying that William and Kate are well-liked and admired by royal supporters worldwide.
William has long charmed himself to the British people and has seldom erred – no small achievement given that he has spent his whole life (40 years) in the limelight.
Nevertheless, Kate Middleton has had it far easier than her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
In the past, particularly when Diana arrived on the scene, she immersed herself and was pushed into royal responsibilities pretty quickly with mixed results, there was no clear blueprint, things went well and sometimes things went terribly horribly, Joe Little stated.
He believe a lot of lessons were taught there.
Kate was extremely gradual, she appeared very little, and for the first several years, she was truly William’s wife rather than a working part of the Royal Family.
She was subsequently choosy in the tasks she accepted and the charities with which she was affiliated, and they now see her performing to a very high quality with the organizations that matter so much to her.
Kate has discovered her own niche within the Royal Family; she has concentrated on things that matter a lot to her, and she thinks she can provide something to the charities, instead of merely covering a lot of charities but not in a wonderful way, he concluded.
In 2020, an unidentified insider informed that Queen Elizabeth had acted as a mentor to Kate – proof, if true, that she recognized and acknowledged the role William’s wife may play within the monarchy in the future.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, in his opinion, will make an excellent King and Queen of England one day.
