King Charles lll, the 73-year-old British king, was seen in an infrequent instant, wiping away a tear today morning as he stepped into Westminster Abbey with his mother’s casket.
This emotional instant happened one more time in today’s poignant state service when Charles was evidently emotional, with the Queen Consort by his side.
King Charles voiced his thankfulness previous night, to the followers and said that in the last 10 days, his wife and he have been so intensely moved by the several messages of sympathy and backing they are getting from this nation and all over the world.
He further said that as they all are ready to say their final leave-taking, he sought purely to take this occasion to say thank you to all those uncountable persons who have been such a support and relief to his Family in this time of sorrow.
While Queen’s coffin lay on a blue catafalque wrapped in the Royal Standard ensign with the Imperial State Crown and a blooming garland of flowers along with a message from her son positioned atop.
King Charles was seen reading mutely from the Order of Service throughout the observances. The late Queen will be placed to rest together with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who will be taken from the Royal Vault to join her at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor.
